Documentation and Setup Guide
For New Zealand customers – the Address Validation Tile provides a simple way to validate new and existing addresses so that they meet New Zealand post requirements. This results in a significant postal discount to NonProfits.
It provides an interactive way to validate new and existing addresses *right* on the Constituent page.
The tile requires a subscription to the Addy address validation API which is setup independently.
The Address Validation tile displays on the Raiser’s Edge NXT Constituent view and you can simply type in an address and it will show suggestions of valid addresses. From there, you can pick one and either add or update an existing address.

NB – this is separate from the Addy API subscription which is also required
Install your Address Validation Tile in 3 steps:

Log into Raiser’s Edge NXT
Log into your Raiser’s Edge NXT account. On the menu click on Control Panel -> Applications at the top.

Add the Application
Find the Address Validation NZ Application in the list of available apps and click connect.

View & Setup your Tile
Open a constituent record where your Address Validation Tile will show up. The tile is usually located at the bottom, but can be moved via drag and drop. Finish the setup by following the instructions in the Tile. Read more

Get started with your Address Validation Tile
Pre Requisites
You will need to have signed up for a free Addy NZ account. Follow the instructions below:
- Addy NZ Signup
- Signup for a FREE account
- Log into your account
- Your API Key will be shown on the dashboard
First Time Setup
In order to work with your Raiser’s Edge NXT data you need to authenticate your tile once. This is required to read or write your data from or to NXT. Click Start Setup inside the tile and a new window will open for you to Confirm & authenticate and follow instructions.
Enter Addy API Key
Enter the Addy API Key from the pre requisite step to complete the setup, or you can save the set up for later in the future.
